CAM GLUTINOUS RICE NUTRITION
Cam glutinous rice is a kind of sticky rice grown in the northern mountains of Vietnam, with only one crop per year, harvested between October and November of the lunar calendar, grown in mountainous areas, so it has many good nutrition for health. Cam glutinous rice, also known as “super blood tonic,” is a type of rice with very high nutritional content. Compared to other types of rice, Cam sticky rice has a protein content of 6.8% higher and 20% higher in fat. Not only that, it also contains up to 8 amino acids with carotene and trace elements necessary. In glutinous rice contains fiber, antioxidants equivalent to blueberries or raspberries, especially rich sources of vitamin E.

HOW TO COOK CAM GLUTINOUS RICE 
  1. Rinse the rice three or four times in cool water.
  2. Add 2 cups of water to each cup of rice in a pan.
  3. Bring the water to a gentle boil with a tablespoon of olive oil or butter and a pinch of salt. Alternatively, use stock or coconut water to add flavor.
  4. Cover the pot and reduce the heat to let it simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice has absorbed all of the liquid.
  5. Remove the pot from the heat and let it stand for 5 minutes with the lid on.
To make softer rice, use an extra quarter of a cup of water and cook it over a low flame for a further 10 minutes.
